Project management during the optimisation of a wind farm installation

The challenge: Testing and development of an installation & logistics concept for the construction of an offshore wind farm with 62 foundations, TPs and wind power plants during a summer period (May-October).

We continuously rely on state-of-the-art technology in our projects to achieve the best possible efficiency in energy generation and at the most reasonable costs for electricity production.

ONLY 184 DAYS

Sea Wind Management has developed an installation & logistics concept as part of its activity as the “Owner’s Engineer” for the Baltic Eagle offshore project, which includes the construction of an offshore wind farm (foundations, TPs, wind power plants) during a summer period (May-October). Inquiries were sent to several installation companies, and a concept enabling the installation of the wind farm in the given time frame was developed together with these and other potential manufacturers of foundations and wind power plants. In addition to the proof of technical feasibility, another result of the work was that the total cost of the project, and thus the energy production price, was reduced due to risk mitigation (reduced construction duration/construction only in summer months) and lower pre-financing costs.
